The goal of the project "Travel around the Lazdijai region actively" is to increase the interest of the people of the Lazdijai region and all of Lithuania (youth and adults) in an active and healthy lifestyle, environmentally friendly transport, ecology, and to increase interest in the natural resources and history of their region. The activities planned in the project (hiking, canoeing and cycling) will contribute to the implementation of goal 1 of the State Sports Development Strategy approved by the resolution of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania "To systematically increase public understanding that physical activity and sports are a prerequisite for a harmonious personality and a universal value" and one of the tasks "To create conditions to significantly increase the prestige of sports in society and in state and municipal institutions and organizations".
