Juozas Gylys-Putinas, a partisan of Mindaugas homeland of Šarūnas team of Dainava district, was killed in this place on March 31, 1947 in a battle with a unit of the Chekist army. 1923 Nemajūnai village, Veisiejai district, now Lazdijai d. and Tauras district Perkūnas team partisan Stasys Mirijauskas-Tarzanas (Žilvitis?), g. Marijampole county (according to other data, now Lazdijai district).
