In Lazdijai district municipality, the public library of Lazdijai district municipality invites you to take a dictation. Everyone who loves their mother tongue and is not afraid to test their knowledge is welcome. Dictation starts at 11 o'clock. We invite you to come to the conference hall on the second floor of the library building, 20 min. earlier: sheets marked with a special logo of the National Dictation will be distributed, you will learn how the dictation will be written, sent to the event organizers, how and where the winners will be announced and awarded.
The national dictation will also be written in the schools of Lazdijai district.
After a break of several years, the National Dictation is back and will once again invite all language lovers to a piece of paper. The National Dictation, held for the fourteenth time, is a joint event of the Civil Thought Institute and LRT, the dictation is supported by AB Šiaulių bankas.
Open to all language lovers, the National Dictation will again this year encourage participants to reveal their attachment to the Lithuanian language and suggest not to be afraid to make mistakes, because every mistake becomes a signpost to learning. The main motto of this year's organizers is "Write. be wrong Learn".
"We invite everyone to take dictation. Only we can take care of our language. Even if we make mistakes in writing or speaking, we can always improve - together with friends, colleagues or classmates. Only the decision of each of us will determine what the Lithuanian language will be in the future", says Vytautė Šmaižytė-Kuliešienė, organizer of the National Dictation.
The national dictation will traditionally select the most literate student, the most literate adult and the most literate foreign Lithuanian. The dictation final will be held in May in Vilnius.
