in 1951 December 28 Juozas Bražinskas-Kūkalis (b. 1925), Vytautas Salyklis-Eimutis (b. 1930), Romualdas Talandis – Svajūnas (b. 1933), Feliksas Stepulevičius – Vikruolis (b. 1929) died in the bunker located in the Giraitė forest. , Juozas Petruškevičius – Passenger (b. 1924). The bodies of all the dead were taken to Lazdijs and laid by the stream . The existing monument is dedicated to all the above-mentioned partisans of the Mindaugas Teubunija of the Šarūnas district of Dainava district who died.
