To commemorate the centenary of Lithuanian Radio, Lazdijai presents an innovative orientation game "Discover the Connection". This project will combine cultural heritage with technology and invite participants to walk around Lazdijai in search of connections between the centenary of Lithuanian Radio and the history of the Lazdijai region.
The game's plot will take participants a century ahead - to the year 2126, from which future generations will ask for help in restoring lost connections with their past. Teams or individual players will look for connections between the tourist attractions of the city of Lazdijai, linking them to the history of Lithuanian Radio and the biography of the artist Antanas Žmuidzinavičius, who came from the Seirijai region.
Interactive tasks will require players not only observation and historical knowledge, but also creativity - teams will take photographs, record messages for future generations, and will be invited to capture the present in a different way through their own creations.
This interactive challenge will be available to residents and guests of Lazdijai city for free in the mobile application "ULBA GO" until the end of the year. The first participants will receive special prizes in June. It is recommended to embark on the adventure in teams of up to 5 people, but the game, as an interactive tour, will also be interesting for individual players. According to the organizers, this project will prove that the anniversary of the radio can be celebrated in a lively, engaging and attractive way for a modern person.
Detailed information about the route and instructions can be found on the Lazdijai Cultural Center website – https://www.lazdijukulturoscentras.lt/informacija/orientacinis-zaidimas-atrask-rysi/
The project is funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania and the Lazdijai District Municipality.
