Towards a Theater of Consciousness: The Performance "Connections"

Performances
One morning, Algirdas woke up and realized that his life was "out of touch." He immediately rushed to call Sandra, but she was out of touch as well. At that moment, Algirdas realized that from now on, everything would be different. An epiphany (or maybe a short circuit?) occurred in his mind and he decided that he couldn't live like this anymore...
This year's "Border Fiesta" program will be complemented by the play "Connections". It is a story about fateful life encounters and special bonds that connect us with our environment, other people and ourselves. At its center are three ordinary residents of Vilnius: Algirdas, Jūratė and Sandra, who wander not only through the streets, but also through the labyrinths of their thoughts, meeting each other in passing. But can they save each other from a life "without connection"?
This performance is an example of the theatre of consciousness explored by theatre maker and researcher Milda Al-Slamah. Although created with minimal means of expression, this theatre is extremely alive and can take place anywhere, even outside the boundaries of a traditional theatre hall, because its essential element is not the action on stage, but the action in the consciousness of the spectator.
We invite the audience to attend the free premiere of this performance! We would be grateful if, in exchange for the experience, you would share your impressions of the performance in the form provided after the performance. The information collected anonymously will be used to improve the performance and for artistic research purposes.
