Remote conversation with Redita Dominaitytė / Towards a Theater of Consciousness

Lazdijai Cultural Center director Dr. Milda Al-Slamah will interview actress, director and head of the "Knygos teatro" Redita Dominaitytė. This is a great opportunity to get to know the creator, her approach to theater, and hear about the performance "Shadows of the Altars", which you can see on October 9 at the Veisiejai Regional Park Visitor Center.

“Shadows of the Altars” is a modern theater experience in which literature becomes a game. It is a contemporary, audiovisual theater form, where a classic work of Lithuanian literature comes to life in an unconventional space and in an unexpected format. Based on the staging of the third part of Vincas Mykolaitis-Putinas’ novel, the audience is involved in an interactive process – here they not only listen to the story, but also complete game tasks, communicating with the aesthetics of the era through smells, authentic objects and atmospheric experiences.

This performance is part of the event series "Towards the Theatre of Consciousness" implemented at the Lazdijai Cultural Centre and its branches. It will present five performances based on Lithuanian dramaturgy and created by professional performing arts creators as a way to rethink sustainability. The audience will be invited not only to see innovative works that break the standards of theatrical creation, but also to look at creation as a way of thinking.

Tickets can be purchased at the box office of the Lazdijai Cultural Center and at the Veisiejai Cultural House, ticket price – €10.
