Meeting
On October 19th at 12:00, we invite you to join another remote conversation in the event series "Towards the Theater of Consciousness".
Lazdijai Cultural Center director Dr. Milda Al-Slamah will interview actor, playwright, and one of the founders of the No Shoes theater, Raimondas Klezis.
During the conversation, we will look back at Raimondas' creative path, the activities of the No Shoes theater, and the creative process of the play "Almost Happy." This play will be shown at the Lazdijai Cultural Center on October 27 at 1 p.m.
We are pleased to announce that the director of the play, Justas Tertelis, will also join the remote conversation with actor Raimondas Klezis!
💬 We invite you to join the conversation, share your thoughts, and ask questions. This is a great opportunity to get to know the creator, his ideas, and the backstage of the theater.

"Almost Happy" is a one-man show by the independent "No Shoes" theater for 11th-12th grade students about Jurgīs Kunčinas, his novel "Tūla" and other events related to the biography of this creator. The author of the idea of the show, playwright and actor Raimondas Klezys, being also an educationist, focuses his work on communicating with teenagers on topics relevant to them. This is his fourth one-man show. The lecture-performance format was chosen for the artistic interpretation. The performance begins with a "lecture" presenting documentary details about the author, the circumstances of the creation of the novel "Tūla", the peculiarities of the era, the map of the work's action and other facts that help to understand the broader context.
The title of the play itself is borrowed from an interview with the writer, in which he describes himself as "almost happy." The title suggests an emotional drama caused by passionate love, when the hero is both happy and unhappy at the same time. This state is close to a young person searching for their identity and trying to understand the feelings of first love that arise in adolescence.
