We kindly invite you to the presentation of Patricija Tilvikaitė's debut novel "Strangers", on May 3. 1:00 p.m. in the Lazdijai public library (Seinų St. 1).
Meda feels herself imprisoned in the grip of a prestigious job. She is driven to despair by her inner critic, whose voice is a holy coincidence! – identical to her narcissistic mother's constant scolding. Meda has no doubts - she bores even her own psychotherapist. Nikita, an eccentric bartender who dreams of fame, is a firework. It would never be boring with him, but would Meda ever learn to trust someone whose first and last name is made up?

Meda and Nikita's one-night stand does not promise "happily ever after", but maybe a happy ending can be planned? After all, Nikita knows that his shelf life as a talented performer is frighteningly short. Modern career women who dream of love are even shorter. Meda (and her influential family) can become a great springboard for Nikita. And what would Meda, who creates no illusions, get about unconditional love?

This is a story about people who have a lot of excuses for who they are. Even more so because of the ones that aren't.
