About his work: “There came a moment in my life when I couldn’t help but write. I have been immersed in literature since childhood, because my mother was a teacher of Lithuanian language and literature, and my father was a lover of reading, and the house had shelves full of books. A. Mikelionis ironically describes his passion for writing with the saying “Nine crafts, the tenth is a writer.” His first novel is “Smėlynų vanduo” (2009), the novel “Yellow Radio” (2012), a collection of poems and humorous miniatures “Brūkštelėjimai” (2014), short and long humoresques “Senelio Pinelios svājona” (2018), the fifth book is a collection of incidents, memories and chronicles “The Salt Room” (2020), “Obsessive Thoughts” (2021), “Žvilgsnis pro langą” (2023), “Humofrescoes” (2024).
