As the weather gradually warms up, the smallest inhabitants of Veisiejai Regional Park – amphibians – wake up. And there are a lot of them here – as many as 13 different species! On the occasion of the International Day for Biological Diversity, we invite you to the environmental event “Is this beauty from the swamp?” The theme of this year’s event is “The Night of Amphibian Voices.”
Have you seen a crested newt or the pride of Veisiejai Regional Park – the European tree frog – up close? Have you ever wondered what kind of bird the croaking of the red-bellied toad resembles? Why is the male common frog blue in early spring? Or maybe you would like to hear a real evening chorus of frogs?
During the event:
At the visitor center, we will listen to stories about various amphibians, their behavior, and unique features, and explore the visitor center exhibit;
We will go to the park area and listen to the chorus of amphibian voices;
There will be interesting tasks, games and educational activities for the whole family.
