Musical confession - performance, musical "The Prophet. When Hands Catch Fire from Love"

Performances
"The Prophet" is a returning musical performance. First presented in Lithuania twenty years ago, it received special attention from the audience and left a clear mark on the history of Lithuanian performing arts. Now the work returns renewed - with the same music and lyrics, but a new creative team, a different artistic vision and fresh breath of the performers.
This is not a banal love story, but a painful love triangle, where fleeting lust meets true feeling, and joy meets pain. The main character, an elderly man, becomes a mediator between the past and the present, allowing the viewer to rediscover that love can be both sweet as honey and burning like fire.
"The Prophet" invites us to immerse ourselves in multifaceted memories, letters, and confessions, in which we will recognize not only beautiful moments, but also painful experiences that shape a person.
"The Prophet" is not only a performance, but also a journey into the world of one of the great spiritual texts of the 20th century. The origins of the performance lie in the book The Prophet by poet and philosopher Kahlil Gibran, whose universal themes have encouraged thinking about the meaning of human life for more than a century. This book, which inspired and changed the life of Paulo Coelho - the author of "The Alchemist", today speaks in a new way through music and theater - in the Lithuanian context of the stage.
This is a story about universal life cycles that every viewer can recognize in themselves. The philosophy of Gibran's "The Prophet" in the words of poet R. Stankevicius connects with the music and theatrical language of composer R. Radzevičius, creating a space for an inner encounter with oneself.
This is not a traditional musical, but a musical-poetic meditation in which music, words, and visual expression become equal elements of dramaturgy.
At the center of the performance is the human journey. It encompasses love and betrayal, birth and death, bodily passions and inner peace. This is not acting. This is confession. This is a story about universal life cycles that every viewer can recognize in themselves.
This performance is not only an aesthetic experience, but also an inner journey – a pause, a listening and a recognition. It balances between concert expression, poetry theatre and visual performance, and its aim is to touch the most sensitive strings of the human heart.
One of the Prophet's songs, "Degančios rakes", has also become a hit in the concert program of the famous singer M. Mikutavičius.
