Virginijus Savukynas is a Lithuanian journalist, cultural anthropologist, radio and television host, and public relations expert.
V. Savukynas is known as the creator and host of the popular LRT PLIUS investigative history show "History Detectives" (aired since 2013). He also hosts various radio shows and writes journalistic texts.
He has published several books on historical and cultural topics, including "Lithuanian Mentalities" (2002), "Rebel" Mythologies" (2004), "History and Mythologies" (2012), "Insights" (2015), "History Detectives" (2016).
He has received awards from the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, the Lithuanian Journalists' Union, and the Antanas Macijauskas Prize for his journalistic and public activities.
V. Savukynas actively participates in the cultural life of the country and organizes meetings with the public.
