The cheerful, popular, long-standing tradition that has made the Lazdijai region famous throughout Lithuania, the First Furrow Festival, will once again shake the fields in the village of Kailiniai, Veisiejai eldership, on April 25.
Everyone is welcome – residents of the district, guests, those who are interested in plowing traditions, horses, and those who enjoy a good time with friends. We invite everyone to try their hand at plowing their first furrow!
Program:
09:30–10:50 – Plowman registration and trial plowing in the training field.
11:00–11:30 – Grand opening of the event.
11:30–12:30 – Plowing competition.
12:30–1:15 PM – Team Plowing Challenge.
13:15–14:00 – Practical education “Overcome the furrow with your own hands”.
14:00–14:30 – Awards for the best participants.
Visitors will also enjoy welcoming community courtyards, fire-roasted eggs, and interesting activities for the little ones participating in the celebration.
