Veisiejai Regional Park is the most lake-rich area in the southern part of Lithuania. The lakes of impressive shapes are surrounded by vast forests, and Lake Ančias, the largest lake in the park, perfectly reveals the unique landscape of this region. We invite you to explore the Ančias Landscape Reserve by hiking!
During the hike, we will travel through sandy pine forests, hills and hills, admire the views of Lake Ančia, enjoy the tranquility of the forest and the lake. We will also learn interesting facts about protected areas, Lake Ančia, the ancient settlement of Mėčiūnai, the Šilainė manor, and maybe we will discover some mushroom on the forest floor...
This is a great opportunity to slow down, be in nature, discover one of the most beautiful corners of Dzūkija, and expand your knowledge about protected areas!

Meeting point: Veisiejai Regional Park Visitor Center (Santarvės g. 9, Veisiejai).

We will be waiting for you to arrive 15 minutes early so that you can visit the visitor center exhibition. At 11 am we will leave by car to the starting point of the hike (about 3 km), so please do not be late! The hike starts and ends at the same place.
The length of the hike is about 14 km.
Participation fee – 6 EUR. 50 percent discount applies to schoolchildren, students, disabled people and pensioners.
Please note that if you purchase a ticket and decide not to participate in the hike, the money will not be refunded.
If you are planning to go with children, grandchildren, or little friends, assess whether their little legs will be able to handle the route without any problems.
