On June 5-6, Lazdijai invites you to the biggest early summer celebration – "Border Fiesta 2026"!
This year, the city will pulsate with the rhythm of music, meetings and good mood. There will be concerts, theatrical performances, a traditional procession, entertainment for the whole family and the legendary chicken race. The energetic Liepa Mondeikaitė, the legendary band Bavarija and the vocal Queens of Roses will perform on stage.
The celebration will be decorated with performances by guest groups, games, various activities and fun for children and adults. This year's slogan - "Get in touch!" - is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the country's artist Antanas Žmuidzinavičius and the 100th anniversary of Lithuanian Radio, which has been uniting people through words and music for a century.

The slogan of the celebration "Get Connected!" reminds us that the most beautiful things happen when we are together, sharing with open hearts what is important and true. I wholeheartedly invite you all to come to Lazdijus on June 5-6. Let's welcome the summer together - where there will certainly be no shortage of music, joy and sincere, human connection," says Mayor Ausma Miškinienė.
Two days full of connection and joy
The fiesta will begin with the traditional "Border Fiesta" procession, bringing together the local community, guests, and the entire Lazdijai region into one lively wave of celebration.
The artistic program will invite you to remember the connection with the history of our land and nation, the audience will be treated to newly interpreted folklore works, a sports-entertainment dance fiesta, and performances filled with exotic rhythms. During the celebration, the honorary citizen of the Lazdijai district municipality will be solemnly honored, and he will be presented with the regalia of an honorary citizen.
On the second day, the spinning competition will seek a connection with nature, and Lazdijai Park will offer plenty of activities for children and adults. The audience will enjoy an orienteering game, fun chicken races, and a musical journey into the past with the songs of Stasys Povilaitis.
"Border Fiesta" invites you to stay connected - with yourself, with your loved ones and with the community, so on June 5-6, Lazdijai will be singing, dancing and delighting everyone - from the youngest to the oldest, so come and get connected!
