Every summer, on the first weekend of June, fishermen from all over Lithuania eagerly await the spinning competition, which takes place on one of the 159 lakes of the Lazdijai region. So this year, on June 7, you are invited to go spinning on Lake Galstas. This lake is distinguished by its natural beauty and abundance of fish, and on the day of the competition it becomes a real center of attraction for spinning enthusiasts. Participants come from various corners of Lithuania and gather here not only for the catch, but also for the opportunity to be in nature, share experiences and enjoy fellowship.
The competition is held in accordance with the prepared regulations for spinning competitions and the current rules of Amateur Inland Water Fishing. Compliance with the rules is ensured by a specially formed spinning commission, which oversees fair play and respect for nature. Anyone can participate in these competitions, regardless of age, gender or experience. Awards are provided for the largest and smallest catch, the most fish by weight, and the symbolic "Lazdijai 2025" cup will go to the owner of the most impressive catch. Young spinning anglers will not be forgotten either, a prize awaits the child who catches the most fish.
So, on June 7, the Spinning Competition taking place in Lake Galstas in the Lazdijai district invites fishermen and nature lovers to participate. This event is part of the largest Lazdijai district festival "Pasienio fiesta", which combines music, concerts, crafts, culinary traditions, being in nature and fishing.
