1935 is the year of the birth of football in Veisiejai. This year, official football matches began. Veisiejai can be proud to be the pioneers of football in the entire Alytus County.
The monument to Veisiejai football was erected in 2015 in the park of Veisiejai Manor. This sculpture is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Veisiejai football. The stone sculpture was created during the international plein air of Veisiejai artists.
