We invite you to get acquainted with the cultural heritage sites in the Lazdijai region, which are related to the residence period of the Jotvingian tribe and date back to the 20th century, and encourage the residents and guests to actively visit cultural heritage sites and local communities, cultural and tourism institutions.

September 24 from 4 p.m. An event dedicated to European Heritage Days and World Tourism Day will take place at the ancient Būdvietis barn. It will introduce the history of the Jotvingians, a tribe that lived in the current territory of Lazdijai district municipality, their surviving cultural heritage objects, way of life and introduce the peculiarities of lifestyle that connect the generations living in the Jotvingian lands for centuries, the main one being agriculture. An education-exposition “Gūdo kelias” will be organized at the Būdvietis barn, during which the barn itself will be presented as a heritage object and activities will be carried out. culinary heritage produced by plants. To commemorate the upcoming World Tourism Day, the staff of the Lazdijai Tourism Information Center will treat the participants of the event to a Jotvingian shopping center and present the newly created JOTVA tourist zone, and the Lazdijai Cultural Center will present the Jotvingiai road tradition. 6 p.m. a guided tour will start from the Būdvietis barn, which will invite you to get to know the cultural heritage of Rudamina and Būdvietis surroundings. 8 p.m. On the Rudamina mound, everyone will have an evening of Baltic unity "Jotvingian talks" and an artistic installation of lights by Jotvingian signs.
