March events in Lazdijai region

In March, the Lazdijai district will have plenty of activities for everyone - from active leisure activities in nature and sports events to cultural evenings, film screenings, book presentations and festive concerts dedicated to the celebration of Lithuania's Independence Day.

On the first Saturday of March, March 7, we invite you to travel "In the Footsteps of Jotvingian Culture". The route will wind through the Rudamina area, visiting the Gumbeliai, Elveriškė and Rudamina mounds. The route is 15 km long, and a Jotvingian šiupinys will be waiting for you at the finish line. Don't forget to bring your national attributes with you.

Lazdijai Sports Center invites all sports lovers to become a part of an impressive spectacle on March 7 ! The Lazdijai Sports Center's open aerobic gymnastics national A league competition awaits, in which more than 400 participants from all over Lithuania will participate. It will be a day full of energy, emotions, mastery and inspiring performances!

On March 10, we will celebrate the Day of Restoration of Lithuanian Independence in Veisiejai. During it, the traditional run “Freedom Trail” will take place. Let us feel unity, togetherness and pride in our country. After all, freedom is a constant movement forward. Let us gather families, friends or colleagues, dress up in national attributes and honor freedom with every step.

LKA Travelers Club invites you to an educational hiking trip on March 11th "Kalniškės Battle: Must Know". The goal of this hike is to touch and feel the history of the Kalniškės Battle, the breath of the surrounding villages and spend active time with your family in nature. The hike guide is Col.
