The memories, poems, and photographs collected by Elė Radzevičiūtė-Andriuškevičienė, a partisan liaison officer of the Šarūnas detachment of the Dainava district, a freedom fighter, and a countrywoman, reminding the public of Lithuanian history, were compiled into a book as part of the project Sušaudyta kuryva/Elė Radzevičiūtė-Andriuškevičienė.
The project was funded by the Lithuanian Council for Culture and the Lazdijai District Municipality.
The author's poems tell of her experiences, sing of the broken desire for freedom, the lost hope of returning, love, and longing for her homeland. Elė Radzevičiūtė-Andriuškevičienė wrote many songs that were widely distributed not only in the Dzūkija region, but also throughout Lithuania.
The book will be presented: March 13 at 12:00 noon at the Lazdijai Public Library, Seinų g. 1
Participants: Book compiler, poet Juozas Žitkauskas, Seinās Lithuanian House Men's Vocal Ensemble.
