Finally, our country is celebrating, as the memories, poems, and photographs collected by Elė Radzevičiūtė-Andriuškevičienė, a national partisan liaison officer, freedom fighter, and compatriot, reminding the public of Lithuania's history, were compiled into a book.
Our countrywoman's songs tell about her experiences, sing about the broken desire for freedom, the lost hope of returning, love, and longing for her homeland. Elė Radzevičiūtė-Andriuškevičienė wrote many songs that spread widely not only throughout the Dzūkija region, but also throughout Lithuania.
We invite everyone to the meeting, because many of you probably knew her. The author's partisan songs will be sung by the people of our region, local musicians.
