Let's celebrate the Day of the Restoration of the State of Lithuania by hiking together. We invite you to a night hiking tour "On the History Trails of Statiškės Forest"
We will remember the partisan movement that took place in the Statiškė Forest and the uprising of 1863. We will remember the blood and sweat-soaked path of the Lithuanian people towards freedom.
We will meet on February 13 at 6:00 PM at the old cemetery of the Akuočiai Manor (Šilo St., Akuočiai, Lazdijai District, coordinates 54.266, 23.788). The event is free.
The route is 9 km long and will only take forest roads.
You will be accompanied on the hike by Artūras Pečkys, administrator of the Meteliai Regional Park Group Visitor Center of the Dzūkija-Suvalkija Protected Areas Directorate, and Irma Maciulevićienė, advisor to the Meteliai Regional Park Group.
We will serve warm herbal tea. It is advisable to have a light source, a reflective vest, snacks and a reusable cup.
Minors may only participate with an accompanying adult.
