March 15th – Day of the Saviors of Lithuanian Jews
We invite you to the Veisiejai Regional Museum on March 12 at 12:00 to participate in a memory and gratitude event dedicated to honoring the rescuers of the Jews of the Veisiejai Region.
On this day, we will remember the people who, during World War II, risked their own lives and the lives of their loved ones to save members of the Jewish community. Their courage, humanity, and sacrifice are a living example of moral strength and civic responsibility.
We invite the community to come together, honor the memory of the rescuers, and express our sincere gratitude to those whose choices became a beacon of hope during a dark period in history.
