Meeting with writer Nelija Urbe

Meeting
Artūras has been working as a cemetery caretaker for a long time, avoiding any closer relationships. The man is haunted by nightmares from the past: when he was still quite young, just out of school, he was drafted into the Afghan war. The war, the betrayal of his loved ones, robs him of his trust in the world, so revenge is all that remains.
Milda is a woman who loves too much. She carries the heavy burden of the family all by herself. Replies that she is a bad wife because her husband drinks, that she is a useless woman because she cannot have children, constantly accompany her and make her cling even more tightly to the burden she is carrying.
However, one night, Milda can't stand her husband's blows and, without thinking, runs to the cemetery. A fateful meeting and the cemetery's guarded secret unexpectedly bring two seemingly different, but deeply wounded people together.
"The Secret of the Cemetery" is a real-life story about addiction, domestic violence, and childhood traumas, which we can recognize and change and grow through.
About the author:
Nelija Urbė is already familiar to readers - her first novel is "The Veil of Lies". The author devotes her free time from her studies at VMU to creativity: writing, photography. In her work, the writer does not shy away from more acute topics, which usually hide what we are afraid to admit not only to others, but also to ourselves.
