Let's discover the natural and historical treasures of Statiškė Forest. On January 3, let's wander on foot through Statiškė Forest. (Lazdijai district, between Lake Meteliai and the settlement of Seiriyai). From 10:00 to 10:15 we will gather at the warm Meteliai Regional Park Visitor Center, and then we will travel by our own transport to the starting point of the hike. The length of the route is 14 km.
We will visit the oak forests typical of the Dzūkija region, hug century-old oaks. We will walk through a swampy forest shining with greenery and mystery. We will get acquainted with 6 forest habitats of European Community importance. Without fear of getting wet, we will step where water gathered in the spring. We will visit the fields where the battles of the 1863 uprising took place.
Comfortable hiking shoes are required. You can bring rubber shoes with you if you want to get closer to the forest lakes.

Participation fee - 6 Eur, and for schoolchildren, students and seniors - 3 Eur! Children under 6 years old - free! Payment on the day of the hike in cash or by card.
