Let's take a walk through Trakas Forest (Lazdijai District). Let's end February by wandering through a natural forest. The 11-kilometer route will wind through Trakas Botanical and Zoological Reserve and Trakas Nature Reserve.
The participants of the hike will meet on February 28 at 10:30 at the Seirijai town bus stop at Metelių g. 3, Seirijai.
During the hike, we will visit the Trakas pine forest, declared a natural heritage site, climb Raganu Hill, wander around the Kimucis swamp, admire the panorama of the Dusia Lake area, and of course, hug the thickest oaks of the Trakas forest. We will look for the little-known sessile oaks. And maybe we will even find the traces of a badger? Trakas is a small but natural forest located between Dusia Lake and the Seiriyai settlement (54.231, 23.755).
Participation fee: 6 EUR, and for schoolchildren, students and seniors – 3 EUR!
