From January 19 to February 28, the Lazdijai Tourism Information Center, Janaslavu k. 10, Lazdijai district, will host a photography exhibition "Moments of National Unity and Courage", which presents photos by Jonas Markevičius, which immortalized the events of January 13, 1991.
The photographs capture people's support for freedom defenders, the construction and guarding of barricades, events near the Supreme Council and the Television Tower, the funerals of the dead, and the "Jedinstvo" march. They reveal the tension of the time, the unity and courage of the nation, which has become an important testimony to the history of Lithuanian freedom.
The photographs in the exhibition belong to the Lazdijai Regional Museum .
