Traveling along the Magic Duck Route

Traveling along the Magic Duck Route

The trip is intended to present the history of Veisiejai, cultural and natural heritage sites, the works of writers who lived in the city, and to spend active time in nature in a playful way. During the program, participants, together with the program leader, listen to a legend and look for 6 magical ducks hidden in the city of Veisiejai.

The almost 4 km hiking route winds through various historical objects and the most famous places of the city. You can visit St. George's Church, Veisiejai Manor, a private calendar museum, Veisiejai Regional Museum, hug a 200-meter-old ash tree, walk along the winding paths along the lakeshore, admire the magnificent Veisiejai Park, various Jewish heritage objects, and learn about history. The ducks hidden along the route have a symbolic meaning, and if you find them, participants gain happiness, love, strength, and other good powers. Thus, the program is designed to introduce the history of the city of Veisiejai, cultural heritage and natural objects in a playful way, while spending time in the fresh air and listening to the legend about the symbol of the city, and looking for hidden magic ducks.
