On April 24–26, two virtual reality experiences inspired by the work of MK Čiurlionis will be held in Lazdijai – “On the Paths of Angels” and “The Creation of Worlds”. The projects will be presented at the Lazdijai Tourism Information Center at Janaslavo k. 10, Lazdijai district, inviting viewers to a unique journey of art, technology, and personal experience.
Double experience
According to the organizers, virtual reality is becoming an increasingly important educational tool, allowing modern audiences to rediscover classical art. This time, the project in Lazdijai will be different in that viewers will be able to experience both virtual reality experiences.
"On the Path of Angels" has already been seen by more than 500 thousand viewers in Lithuania and abroad. Visitors often mention a sense of peace, concentration, and inner balance in their reviews. The experience invites you to travel through the symbolic landscapes of MK Čiurlionis' paintings, which intertwine mythological motifs, images of nature, and spiritual themes.
Meanwhile, “Creation of Worlds” is a more advanced virtual reality experience in which the viewer becomes an active participant in the journey. This journey has already been tried by more than 150 thousand people, it has been presented in more than 70 Lithuanian cities and towns and has received international recognition.
Aim to reach a wider audience
According to Austėja Staniulevičiūtė, the head of the #PoLietuvą project, the return to Lazdijus was born from the desire to make these experiences accessible to the widest possible audience.
"I believe that these experiences are important to see both for those who are just preparing for their first encounter with MK Čiurlionis' work, and for those who have already experienced it and want to return again," she says.
