This year, as Christmas approaches, we invite everyone – young and old – to write at least one letter. Maybe to a friend, maybe to a neighbor, or maybe to someone you’ve always wanted to make happy. Let’s stop and feel: a letter is a small spark of the heart, traveling to another person to quietly and gently warm them.
May this year's theme "Give the Gift of Feelings" and the slogan "With Love - for Lazdijai" inspire us to share gratitude, warmth, and sincerity.
Lighting ceremony
On December 5th, we will meet at the Christmas tree lighting ceremony, where the musical performance "Lost Letters", cheerful heroes and a joint creative adventure for children will be waiting. Songs and dances will be performed by the teams of the Lazdijai Cultural Center and the Lazdijai Art School. Young and old performers will create a real Christmas miracle that will shine together with the main city Christmas tree.
Lots of fun activities
This year, Christmas decorations in the city and the square will also tell the story of letters and the feelings that travel in them. Glowing envelopes will land in the green field, symbolizing the holiday wishes floating in Lazdijai. Four Christmas houses will operate in the square, one of which will house Santa Claus's call center - children will be able to call Santa Claus and share their wishes and thanks. As every year, during the Advent period, there will be no shortage of thematic education and workshops in all Lazdijai institutions.
This Christmas, let's stop, breathe in peace, and give gifts of feelings rather than things. Let them travel in letters, postcards, little notes - anything that comes from the heart.
