Project "Camino Lithuanian Cultural Path - Your Way". Project implementer - Public Institution "Lazdijai Tourism Information Centre". The project is partially financed by the Lithuanian Council for Culture (partial financing is allocated according to the TKR Alytus district priority: promotion of creative initiatives 2025-3 No. 08-002-11-03-02). The total value of the project is 5100 Eur, the funds allocated by the Public Institution Lazdijai Tourism Information Centre are 1600 Eur. The Camino Lituano is a vibrant social, cultural and economic phenomenon. Pilgrims walking this route visit churches, shrines, hillforts, educational trails, observation towers, and places of historical and cultural heritage. In order to further promote the Alytus County section of this route, a pilgrim festival “Illuminate the Camino” will be organized. The festival will last 70 km in the Lazdijai, Alytus region, and at the planned stops, you will be able to hear pilgrims’ stories, listen to sacred music, and admire illuminated heritage sites.
