September 2nd - September 30th. The Veisiejai Regional Museum is exhibiting an exhibition of fabrics by the artist and weaver Laima Griškevičienė "On the Paths of the Past".
Laima is a fourth-generation weaver. She weaves both traditional textiles – aprons for the Dzūki national costume, skirts, towels, bedspreads, and floor runners – as well as modern textiles – handbags, backpacks, decorative elements for dresses, scarves, shawls, table accessories, cushions, and hammocks.
Laima is a textile artist and a member of the Dzūkija branch of the Lithuanian Folk Artists Union.
In 2023, the status of an artist was granted.
