After a two-year break, one of the largest festivals in the Lazdijai region, the Border Fiesta, returns!
"At this year's event, we will invite not only to have a good time, gain positive energy by participating in cultural and entertainment events, but also to rethink how much" borders "mean in our lives," says Ausma Miškinienė, Mayor of Lazdijai District.
"Borders both separate and connect" is the idea of this year's event, which speaks between life on different sides of the border, peace and misfortunes and war-torn skies, the fate of people and the difficult hour of helping people to melt the borders between people.
The Border Fiesta will host concerts, competitions and fairs for two days, and will start on June 3. Communion Dinner (Friday).
June 4 (Saturday) The Border Fiesta will be painted in the colors of the sun and the sky - all participants, guests, communities, institutions and organizations will be invited to participate in the unifying procession and thus express their support for Ukraine.
And in the evening in Lazdijai City Park, the festive day will be crowned with the artistic program “Walls and Divide and Connect”, Honorary Citizen Award. The guests of the event will be delighted by well-known Lithuanian bands and performers Kastytis Kerbedis, Gabrielius Vagelis, Pikaso, Kryžkelė, Žiburys.
